A mobile application available on iOS and Android that allows users to print photos and create personalized decor items.
Yourz is a cross-platform mobile application developed with React Native that allows users to select, edit, and personalize their images for printing on various everyday items such as mugs, placemats, wall decorations, and more. The app was initially launched in 2020, and I joined the project in late 2021.
Updated libraries.
Migrated from React Native CLI to Expo (Bare Workflow).
Deployed to the App Store and Google Play Store using Expo EAS Build.
Fixed an Android-specific bug related to image rotation, which was functioning correctly on iOS.
Added product filters: some products are exclusive to the mobile app, others are available on the website, and some are reserved for white-label brands.
Replaced Zendesk with Intercom for customer support management.
This was my first cross-platform application launched in production, and it also introduced me to MacOS.
Although I had previously used Expo in Managed Workflow, this project allowed me to work in Bare Workflow, giving me exposure to native code in Objective-C and Java.
I learned how to build the application for direct installation on Android smartphones or via TestFlight for iPhone, enabling the client to test the application before it went live on the stores.
The main challenge was the timeline. I had only two months to prepare and configure the environment, learn to use MacOS and XCode, and manage the deployment to the stores.
Despite these constraints, the application and the updates I implemented were successfully deployed to the App Store and Google Play Store.
Coovz is a factory specializing in the mass production of custom stickers. It offers on-demand personalization services, allowing clients to create unique designs that can be cut according to specific specifications. Coovz positions itself in the personalized goods market, facilitating the creation and ordering of stickers tailored to the specific needs of consumers or businesses.
