Website of the French agency Intermèdes, specializing in custom cultural and historical travel.

The old website had been developed in PHP, but the team decided to migrate to React and GraphQL to enhance performance and user experience. It was during this project that I first discovered Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Unlike Test Driven Development (TDD), which focuses on technical testing, BDD emphasizes user experience by highlighting the functional expectations of the product. This approach fosters close collaboration between developers, designers, quality teams, and clients, ensuring better communication and a shared vision of the product.
As part of this methodology, we used Storybook to isolate each interface component, such as buttons and text, and test them individually in various scenarios. This ensures that each element functions independently, regardless of the overall context.
Regarding Intermèdes, the user begins by selecting a destination, a departure date, the duration of the stay, and additional options like a guide, accommodation, and transport. After configuring their preferences, the total price of the trip is displayed, and the user can book by entering their personal information, such as their name and email address.
Intermèdes is a travel agency specializing in cultural and thematic trips. It offers guided tours and stays that focus on discovering the historical, artistic, and cultural heritage of various destinations. The trips organized by Intermèdes are often accompanied by experts, such as historians, speakers, or art specialists, who enrich the travelers' experience with detailed explanations and cultural anecdotes.
The agency provides a wide range of travel options, including group tours, cultural cruises, thematic stays (music, history, archaeology), and customized trips. These journeys are designed for culture enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of the places they visit while enjoying professional guidance.
